The expansion includes:
A new two-story, main lobby features:
A brand-new Gift Shop
Free WiFi connection
Expanded Emergency Department
New Special Procedures Rooms
- Two new Special Procedures Rooms for expanded inpatient and outpatient Gastrointestinal procedures and services
State-of-the-Art Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- A new 12-bed Intensive Care Unit
- Our new state-of-the-art, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is equipped with the latest technology and VitalWatch, Central Florida's ONLY eICU program. From a core remote location, critical care physicians and nurses monitor and provide an added layer of patient care 24/7, via a secured two-way audio/visual system. This life-saving service is free of charge to patients and available only at Health First hospitals.
- Featuring an all-new ceiling “boom” system will allow medical equipment to be moved from side-to-side to better accommodate patients and caregivers alike.
Palm Bay Hospital's new Cafeteria is now 13,724 sq. ft. and provides a restful and relaxing atmosphere.
Food service includes a hot entrée bar, deli, soup & salad bar, coffee station, grab-n-go, and a by-the-slice pizza station. The new Cafeteria also features a brick-hearth pizza oven. For those who enjoy outdoor dining, a City Café sponsored by the City of Palm Bay, provides a pleasurable, relaxing outdoor experience, just outside the new Cafeteria.
